Chester law firm, Jolliffe & Co LLP is supporting Share’s Chester shop in Northgate Street by sponsoring all donated coffees at the Share shop for a week in April.  The legal team at Jolliffes will also be helping at weekends serving coffee, sorting and packing donated clothing, toiletries and essential items destined for Chester or refugees in Leros, Greece.

Simon Williams, Partner and Head of Corporate and Commercial for Jolliffe & Co LLP said;

“Share Aid helps homeless people directly in Chester, as well as responds in a practical and innovative way to support the aid effort for the refugees in Europe and Africa.  We are humbled to be able to support the Share Shop Chester coffee initiative and it’s great coffee too! Individuals who are in need of a hot beverage can go into the shop and have one ‘on the house’.  It is a great example of direct action that really impacts on individual lives in a practical way.  Next month our staff are volunteering during weekends at the Share shop in Chester. We are glad to support where we can.”

Adam Dandy, from Share, said:

 “We welcome and are grateful for the generous coffee sponsorship and volunteering support from Jolliffes.  Businesses supporting us in this way ensure that every penny that is raised in the Share Shop goes directly to help rehouse, clothe and feed people who are homeless in Chester.  The Share Aid warehouse also needs a continuous stream of volunteers to ensure that the essential items reach refugees on the Greek island of Leros and in Uganda, Africa and we welcome offers of support from individuals and businesses who can contact us directly.”

Share was founded by Louise Edwards, Monica Hogg and local businessman Adam Dandy. More information at www.shareaid.co.uk A video showing their warehouse and activities can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvVMC1LJhWo
