Congratulations comes in many forms – especially at this time of A-Level results and career choices for many.
Today I received another congratulatory milestone from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), my Continuing Professional Development (CPD) renewed status and the words from the Chief Executive:
“Through your hard work and dedication to CPD, your Chartered Marketer status remains active for another year … You are part of a senior community of marketers, all committed to maintaining the very highest standards in marketing practice. Achieving and maintaining this status demonstrates your personal commitment to being recognised as an experienced, qualified and up-to-date professional marketer.”
I’m particularly proud of being an Engineering graduate and finding my niche in Marketing so that every year, 30 years after being a founder member of CIM’s CPD scheme (and a hand-written certificate below) I can look back with pride on 30 years of continuing continuing professional development with two learning points for today’s students;
1. Follow your passion (its a lot easier), and
2. Never stop learning.
