Marketing PRojects was asked to assist the Liverpool based practice for the first time when it was to accompany the Prime Minister on his official visit to China in 2013. The project was notified on the Thursday, meeting to brief on Friday and Partner, Michael left for China on the Sunday. Work involved creating an online profile for the practice and press office, modifying the social media profile including removing unsuitable tweets and writing releases and translating to Mandarin. All this was completed over the weekend.
During the visit, Jane at Marketing Projects communicated 24/7 to ensure Brock Carmichael obtained coverage ahead of other high profile attendees with the PM. After the visit we met with local and trade journalists and completed a video. It resulted in a 2 page spread on the firm in the regional press (Echo), national press and media coverage and specialist architectural coverage amounting to over 20 items including the FT. International coverage extended to 3 articles in the Chinese press.
“In January 2017 Jane became part-time Head of Marketing at Brock Carmichael to provide support and assistance to the Partners and the Practice Manager in marketing the Practice in the pursuit of business opportunities and in evolving and maintaining the Practice’s presence through PR and thought leadership.
During the subsequent four and a half years Jane developed the Practice’s Marketing Plan and provided support to the Partners with strategic business development initiatives including organising and assisting the Practice’s attendance at MIPIM from 2017 -2019. Her work included managing and coordinating the production of effective marketing literature and communications for print, website, intranet, press and digital media; the writing and distribution of monthly press releases and a six-monthly newsletter; and preparing reports for the monthly marketing meeting.
Jane contributed over 50 press releases as well as the content for numerous thought leadership topics and other articles that were featured in North West Business Insider, Place North West and other publishers. She maintained the Practice’s relationship with key journalists and
Jane was responsible for maintaining and updating the Practice’s website and managing the Practice’s social media profiles including assisting the Partners and staff in co-ordinating and directing the digital marketing themes and content on a monthly basis.
Her role also included internal marketing communications working with the project design teams to uncover stories and insights behind our work and to raise the profile of the Practice to its staff, which she facilitated via monthly short lunchtime events.
