Johnnie Johnson Housing Trust
Work over 16 months and though an intensive period of change to support the Board and senior managers by delivering cost effective marketing initiatives that meet the needs of residents and stakeholders and, with ‘One Team’, support the vision for residents of ‘Living Longer, Living Better’.
In January 2015, when Marketing Projects began working with 5,000-home Johnnie Johnson Housing Trust, it was facing an uncertain future and in special regulatory measures (G3 V3). It was upgraded in March 2016 to G2 V1 and finally achieved the top rating G1 V1 in November 2016. It is the only housing association to achieve such a turnaround.
Marketing Projects, working in an interim Marketing & Communications Manager role, managed the web site and brand image revamp, continued the residents’ quarterly newsletter and corporate strategy documentation and annual report, systemised the promotional materials available for marketing and worked with key members of the marketing team to achieve this. A focus on key influencers, including MPs and a number of press releases, media meetings and articles helped JJHT feature in Social Housing, 24 Housing, Inside Housing and attain speaker opportunities at key conferences. All supported a better image of the organisation and underlined the steps it was taking to change and grow.
“Marketing continues the drive for excellence with positive, proactive activities to support the Board’s and executive management policy and decisions. “
Paul Dolan, Chief Executive, JJHT.
