MDS Consultants plc, founded by Alan O’Brien circa 1961 was one of the iconic, originating and leading recruitment businesses of that time setting the foundations and business model that is followed operationally to this day across the UK Recruitment landscape.

Operating widely across the North West and the UK, engineering recruitment solutions were based on personal relationships and a high degree of attention to detail and one of the earliest members of FRES [now REC] and the first Recruiter to recognise and implement ISO9000 [formerly BS5750].

Marketing PRojects assisted in the research and development for their first early recruiting web site. This work doubled the number of visitors to the web site which saw a 600% increase in CV registrants over a 18 month period. This was way beyond the targets for cost savings and growth set for the site.

MDS Consultants was acquired by the Morson Group – another of the great early icons established in 1969 by Gerry Morson and today headed by CEO Ged Morson. Morson International holds fast to those early values.
