Optimal Networks

Optimal Networks is a leading provider of integrated software solutions for optimising, monitoring and troubleshooting distributed IT applications. Compuware acquired Optimal in 2000.

Brief

Marketing PRojects was asked to work in a four week time-window for Optimal Networks on the European launch of the Application Expert V2.0 product at the Café Royale in London.

Over a six month period, Marketing PRojects also developed their PR operation in the UK to include; Pre & post press contact, product reviews, ‘white papers’, directory entries, journalist meetings, product developments and company news. Liaison included with the US office (VP Marketing) for PR approval and support materials and the UK sales office.

Results

The work initiated by Marketing PRojects resulted in eight press releases, four in-depth full product reviews and three in-depth features on the company. On-going activity was handed over successfully after this fast-track PR programme to boost sales.

Network Computing magazine named Compuware application profiling and troubleshooting software, Application Expert, “Product of the Year” in the network and application performance-management system category in 2001.
